US state maps from Rand McNally, the country’s leading publisher of road maps and street plans, available in a combination of three different formats: state maps, enlarged Easy-to-Read maps, and laminated Easy-to-Fold maps.

For clarity of road information the maps present the road network on a plain background, with no or little topographic detail. Driving distances are indicated on all principal highways and on many local routes. National or state parks and other protected areas, Indian Reservations and restricted military zones are highlighted and symbols indicate campsites, rest areas, various places of interest, etc. Each map shows local administrative boundaries with names of the counties, is indexed and gives geographical coordinates as margin ticks usually at 1° intervals.

Please note: the publishers are currently revising this series and not all three versions listed below are available for each state:

State maps: the whole state is shown on one side with on the reverse tourist information, including lists of state park and forest with their facilities, enlarged maps for popular areas, facts and figures, etc.

Easy-to-Read: enlarged versions, usually double-sided, with larger size print and much easier to read. Each title also includes several enlargements for main urban areas or popular destinations, plus a mileage chart and a mileage/driving times map of the state.

Easy-to-Fold: laminated and waterproof versions, allowing you to mark your route and then wipe the surface clean for further use, with the states shown at much reduced scale to fit onto a more compact size, double-sided map. Mapping is similar to the two versions above, but with some smaller towns and local roads not shown. Enlargements follow the Easy-to-Read versions, again with less detail shown on them, and those covering smaller locations are not included. Print size is smaller and no other features provided in the other two versions are included. Easy-to-Fold editions are gradually replacing the earlier Easyfinder editions.
