A series of attractive maps depicting the world''s ocean floor - intricately detailed with sea bed contours and bathymetric tinting. Sea bed features such as banks, shelves and ridges are named, and sounding lines are indicated. Land detail is restricted to main rivers, altitude tinting and sub-ice contours, eg. on Greenland.

For most of the coverage the scale is 1:10,000,000 (at the Equator), Mecator Projection. The exceptions to this are the two polar region sheets which are at 1:6,000,000 (at75 °), Polar Stereographic Projection. Legend in English and French.
