New England-Hudson Valley at 1:500,000 is a fully indexed map in the Michelin Regional USA series for motorists and tourists which is comprised of three maps at 1:2,400,000 covering the USA and southern Canada and two maps at a more detailed scale of 1:500,000 which cover the north-eastern seaboard from northern Virginia and DC to Southern Maine.

Interstates or state highways are mapped with details of the number of lanes, intermediate driving distances, toll roads and rest areas. Minor and un-surfaced roads are also shown, as are ferry routes and airports. Scenic routes are highlighted where applicable.

Native Indian land and land belonging to the U.S military are clearly designated on the maps, as are state capitals and boundaries, border crossings and time zone limits. Minimal grey relief shading is shown, as is each State’s highest point of elevation. National and State forests and parks are clearly demarcated with variable green shading and other state lands are detailed in the legend.

The maps of the Mid-Atlantic and New England (at 1:500,000) additionally show differentiation between motorist rest areas with and without services, Amtrack railway stations and lines, places of interest, leisure activities and campsites.
