The main route of the Way of St James to Compostela across northern Spain presented in a series in detailed strip maps at 1:100,000, with additional street plans of central Logroño, Burgos, León and Santiago itself.

The whole route is covered on 26 panels, each 36 x 8cm, which present it with the surrounding network of local roads and country tracks as well as railway connections. Towns and villages along the route are annotated with symbols indicating availability of various types of accommodation, restaurants and bars, food shops, post offices and medical or first aid facilities. Also marked are viewpoints, churches and monasteries, and other places of interest both along the route itself and in the nearby towns and villages.

The 24 of the panels present the route from Col du Somport (the variant from Roncesvalles via Pamplona is not covered) to Santiago, with the remaining two extending it further west to Cape Finisterre. Each panel is accompanied by a profile with markings for elevation and overall distance from the French/Spanish border.

The map includes street plans of the three main cities along the route: Logroño, Burgos and León, plus a plan of the historic heart of Santiago de Compostela. Also provided is a panel with an overview road map of northern Spain showing the whole route.

Map legend includes English. Additional text accompanying the four street plan and useful tips for hikers are in German only.
