The guide

254 page paperback guide in Spanish, to climbing, ski mountaineering and mountain biking. Routes are arranged geographically, dividing the Picos into the two principal areas, the western and eastern massifs. Many detailed descriptions are accompanied, as appropriate, by drawings on the climbing faces showing routes and their variants, route profiles, or map extracts. Also provided is an introductory chapter on the area.

The maps

Two detailed maps at 1:25,000 covering the western and eastern massifs. Contours at 10m intervals (50m for cliff faces) with bold shading and graphic relief, provide an excellent representation of the terrain. An overprint highlights local hiking routes, indicating difficult sections, mountain huts and refuges, access points to caves, etc. The maps have a UTM grid. Map legend in Spanish and English. On the reverse of each map is a panorama drawing of the area covered by it, a list of GPS waypoints for the peaks, a list of caves, and additional notes on the area, in Spanish only.

Please note: each of the two maps is also available separately, printed on paper as in this set, or on light, waterproof and tear-resistant plastic paper.
