New Delhi on a laminated, tear-resistant Insight Flexi Map with an indexed street plan of the city’s central districts, an enlargement for the Connaught Place, a diagram of the metro network, road maps of the Delhi area and north-western India, plus extensive tourist information.

On one side is a street plan of New Delhi’s central districts, centered on Connaught Place and extending north to include the Red Fort and south beyond the Presidential Palace and Purana Qila to the Gandhi Museum. The area immediately around Connaught Place is shown in greater detail enlarged to 1:8,000. Metro stations, one way streets and car parks are clearly marked. Main public buildings, places of interest and selected hotels are prominently highlighted and named. The plan is indexed for streets, districts, parks, hotels, shopping, points of interest and public buildings. Also provided is a diagram of the metro network.

On the reverse a road map at 1:100,000 covers the Delhi area, indicating main routes across the city and highlighting various places of interest. Northern India is covered at 1:4,000,000, showing access from the city to Jaipur, Agra, Lucknow and Kanpur to the south and the Himalayan regions of Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh with Shimla and Pathankot. Both maps are indexed. The map also includes a plan of Agra around the Taj Mahal and the Fort.

A special feature of the Insight Flexi series are panels with additional tourist information:

32 main sights, neatly grouped into sections covering Main Attractions, Museums and Galleries, Shopping and Markets, plus Further Afield, are given brief descriptions and are prominently highlighted on the relevant maps.

Further panels provide information on Getting Around and Facts for Visitors, including tourist information offices, public holidays, opening times, money, tipping, telecommunications and monthly climate charts.
