Hiking and leisure maps published by New Zealand’s Dept. of Conservation, the body responsible for managing the country’s 14 national parks and several of its forests and other protected areas. Scales and cartography vary according to the area covered. Most titles are based on the 1:50,000 topographic survey, with contours and relief shading, and highlight tramping paths and huts maintained by DOC. On the reverse there are notes describing the areas and various routes, etc.
