Topography is presented by relief shading and colouring for woodlands, plus names of mountain ranges, peaks, passes, etc. Road network, classified according to the number of lanes, indicates motorway services and rest areas, full and partial interchanges, road width, load and height limits, steep gradients, dangerous or difficult sections, seasonal closures and entry restrictions, etc. Scenic routes are highlighted. Railways, funiculars, cable car lines, etc. are shown, as well as car ferry lines. Symbols indicate places of interest, sport and leisure facilities, etc. Names of cantons and their boundaries are marked. The map has no geographical coordinates. Map legend includes English. Index of localities and a distance/driving times table are next to the map.
The map also indicates places with entries in Michelins Red Guide to hotels and restaurants in Switzerland. Street plans of Berne, Basel, Lucerne and Zurich show road access to the centre and name main streets which are also listed in a short index. For Zurich there is also an enlargement for the town centre.
