The Northern Caminos guide from Cicerone Press describes the alternatives to the main Camino Francés route from the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela: the coastal route of Camino Norte, its Camino Primitivo variant through Lugo and Oviedo, plus the traditional Camino Ingles - the route taken by English pilgrims arriving by ship in Ferrol or A Coruña. Also covered is Camino Finisterre, the continuation of the routes beyond Santiago de Compostela to the ‘end of the world’.
Each route is divided into daily stages. Detailed description of each stage is accompanied by extracts from contoured maps overprinted with the route and by coloured panels which conveniently highlight information about accommodation and/or places of special interest.
The introductory chapter provides general information and advice, whilst appendices include route summary tables, an English - Spanish - Euskara glossary, etc.
