Dull Men’s Club 2017 calendar launch

Things very nearly got wild here at Stanfords on Wednesday evening at the launch of the 2017 Dull Men’s Club Calendar. This year it’s not exclusively a men’s club as they have inducted some women into the club including a barbed wire enthusiast and the curator of a pencil museum.

Australian women finds snake in Ugg boot

As if you needed a reason not to wear Uggs, a snake catcher in Adelaide was called to remove an eastern brown snake, one of the world’s most venomous snakes, from a woman’s Ugg boot. Apparently the woolly sheepskin lining makes a really cosy hiding place. Maybe buy Crocs instead.

World’s shortest flight carries one millionth passenger

If you despise long haul, this flight taking a mere two minutes has flown one million passengers between the Orkney islands of Westray and Papa Westray since its first flight in 1967. Anne Rendall received a bunch of flowers on Monday for becoming the one millionth passenger to make the passage on the Guinness World Record holding shortest scheduled service.
