Hitchcock’s Psycho manor appears on New York rooftop

The Master of Suspense strikes again as a new instillation on the roof of The Met museum in New York sees a replica of the house from Hitchcock’s famous 1960s thriller Psycho pitch residence. The large scale sculpture by British artist Cornelia Parker is on view (weather permitting) until the end of October 2016.

Artist travels the world repairing damaged walls with Lego

Artist Jan Vormann has been plugging the gaps in building exteriors that have been damaged. The colourful brick repairs are part of his project called ‘Dispatchwork’, and it has taken him around the world. Lots of people have joined him in his mission.

Sheepdog walks home 240 miles from Cumbria to Wales

We get lots of adventurous dogs visiting us but this week’s most notorious is Pero, a working sheepdog, navigated his way from his new owners on a farm in Cockermouth to his old home in the village of Penrhyncoch, Ceredigion. Proving that dogs have great natural navigation skills, Pero must have travelled over 20 miles a day by the time he reached his old owners twelve days later.

Big Ben silenced

London will be without its iconic soundtrack for a few months while Big Ben, the clock and the Elizabeth Tower undergo £29 million repairs. The apparently essential maintenance will see the bell stripped back to its original Victorian state.
