Stanfords offers two services for those customers wishing to browse and download products direct from their own PC or MAC:

Icon Dtm 44421 Desktop Mapping allows direct access to our core large-scale Ordnance Survey map data products (1:1250/1:2500/1:10k Landplan).

 

Icon Geostore 44422 Stanfords GeoStore offers separate access to complimentary products such as Aerial photography data, 1m and 5m Height data and Ordnance Survey mid/small scale mapping (1:10k/1:25k/1:50k/1:250k).

Historic mapping (National Grid)

As the country's leading Mapping and Data Centre Stanfords has access to Ordnance Survey’s vast archive of historical maps.

These maps are available at different scales and cover the period between the mid –1800s and 1995. They are suitable either for research into your local area, street, property, or family.

We distinguish between two different series, Series A, covering the years between 1850 and 1940 and Series B, for surveys between 1947 and 1995, after the introduction of the National Grid System.

  • £38 for 5km x 5km 1:10000
  • £40 for 1km x 1km 1:2500
  • £55 for 2km x 1km 1:2500
