Our new Click & Collect service lets you order online at, collect in your chosen store for free the working next day*, then head off on your next adventure.
*Please note that our Click & Collect service is not currently available on weekends or bank holidays.

How to Click & Collect

Click & Collect is available for almost everything we sell - just look for the Click & Collect logo in the top right of the product page. Hover over “See collection options” to check that it is available in your local Stanfords shop. Then all you need to do is place and pay for your order online as usual but choose “Click & Collect” at Checkout. Orders placed before 5pm will be ready and waiting at your chosen shop's Collection Point after 1pm the next working day. Orders Placed After 5pm will be available for collection after 1pm the next working day after tomorrow - so, if you place an order on Monday after 5pm it will be available for collection from 1pm on Wednesday.

Don’t worry - we will notify you via email and text message (if you have provided your mobile phone number) as soon as your order is ready for collection. To avoid disappointment, please wait for this notification before you come in to collect your order.

Collect your order from the Click & Collect Collection Point at your chosen store. So we know what you ordered, please bring your Ready to Collect email or text message as proof of purchase - this can be printed or just displayed on your phone. We also need you to bring along photo proof of ID (passport or photo driving licence) - after all, you wouldn’t want someone else getting your beautiful books by mistake. If you do have to send someone else to collect your order they must present your order confirmation email and their photo ID.

There’s nothing worse than arriving to pick up your order only to find the shop is shut, so be sure to check the opening hours for your chosen shop here.

Because we hate to see good books go to waste, we’ll hold on to your order for 7 days. If you haven’t collected it by then, we’ll assume you’ve changed your mind and will refund your account the cost of the order.
