Bristol, Wed 18 Jun 7:00pm
To celebrate National Cycling Week, come and meet Alastair Humphreys and find out about his new book Thunder and Sunshine, which is the second part of his epic round-the-world bicycle journey and follows on from his first book, Moods of Future Joys.
Humphreys began his journey on August 2001 from his Yorkshire home. Passing south through Europe and Africa, he crossed to South America by sea and proceeded up the west coast of the Americas.
From Alaska he went to Magadan in Russia, then on to Japan and westward across China and Central Asia to return to Europe.
He arrived home in November 2005, having ridden 46,000 miles over a period of four years and three months.
Come and hear all about it!
