Come to Stanfords and combine your Christmas shopping with raising money for ActionAid. To celebrate our partnership with the international development charity ActionAid, we will be offering you 10% off everything* and we will donate 10% of the evening’s takings to help their work fighting poverty worldwide.
ActionAid works in over 40 developing countries throughout Africa, Asia and the Americas, helping to combat poverty and tackle the injustice and inequity that cause it. Together with more than 2,000 local, national and international partners, the charity works with and supports the poorest and most vulnerable people, to fight for – and gain – their rights to food, shelter, work, basic healthcare and a voice in the decisions that affect their lives. As well as setting up long term projects, they also work to provide immediate relief in emergency situations, and are currently working the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti and Myanmar.
The ActionAid team will be in store between 7.30pm - 9pm with information on its current work and ways you can get involved.
