The Stanfords store in Bristol is located on the historical Corn Street, near to the Floating Harbour, in the heart of Bristol's market centre. The branch was our first to launch outside of London and the doors were opened in 1997 by the great travel writer Eric Newby.
Refurbished to mark its 10th birthday in 2007, the store maintains a similar stock profile to our flagship store in Covent Garden, London, and also houses the Bristol Stanfords Digital office.
A new feature to the store is an impressive 1:5,000 map of Bristol covering the staircase wall from the ground floor to the basement.
