Actually centred on the Persian Gulf, this 77x60cm map depicts Afghanistan and the adjacent countries and extends west to include the rest of the Middle East and the Red Sea. The cartography is the usual NGS style of political borders clearly emphasised in colour, with relief shading to denote the topography. As well as roads and railways, oilfields and pipelines are included, and differnt types of terrain are featured eg. desert, swamp, glacier.
