A4-size, spiral-bound, detailed road atlas of the Alberta, with street plans of 17 towns and holiday resorts, including Banff, Lake Louise, and Jasper. The main section covers the province at 1:500,000. Road network distinguishes gravel highways and shows names of many regional and local roads. Intermediate driving distances are shown on main roads. Local airports, railways with train stations, and ferries are marked, with national parks, provincial parks and reserves, and selected hiking trails highlighted. Symbols denote campgrounds, border crossings, major ski areas, and various facilities and places of interest. In addition to the main index of locations, there is also a list of parks, reserves and recreation areas. A further 6-page section at 1:2,000,000 provides a quick overview of the whole province.
28 more pages show street plans of main towns and holiday resorts at various more detailed scales, e.g. Calgary and Edmonton at 1;250,000 with the surrounding areas, at 1:175,000 with the environs, and the city centres at 1;25,000. Also covered are: Lethbridge, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore, Wetaskiwin, Camrose, Peace River, St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan and Sherwood Park. All the plans are indexed and, where appropriate, show one way streets.
