One of the Discoverer Series by the Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland. These maps are ideal for recreational use (e.g. hill-walking). The maps are fully contoured (10m interval) and use spot heights and elevation tinting (i.e. different colours for different altitudes) to show the physical geography of the country. The legend includes transport and communications (including footpaths), rivers and lakes, plus woodland and other types of terrain. Features of interest to tourists like viewpoints, car parks, golf courses and campsites are clearly indicated. Each map shows the Irish Grid System at 1km intervals and has latitude and longitude ticks at 5' intervals in the margins.
