Tourist map providing coverage of many key areas of interest. The main map at 1:1,750,000 is on one side with a distance chart and index, and on the reverse are enlargements of reserves and national parks, and also street plans. Road detail includes some minor roads, and distinguishes between tarred and untarred roads. Intermediate driving distances are marked on many roads and petrol stations are indicated. Border crossing posts are shown - with their respective opening times. The publisher’s chosen method for conveying most effectively the best routes to the locations and regions of interest, is to reduce distracting details. Consequently, compared with some other maps for the same region, this map shows little or no relief detail and may omit some minor routes.

Reserves, conservation areas and national parks are highlighted and some hill regions are named. Other detail includes railways, province boundaries and wetland areas, with symbols for airports, lodges, campsites, ruins and other sites of interest. The map is indexed and accompanied by a driving distance table. Small tables of climate data (rainfall and temperature) are included for four localities.

On the reverse are more detailed maps at various scales for Okavango Delta, Chobe NP, Moremi Game Reserve, Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pan area, Kutse Game Reserve, Mabuasehube, Maun, and the route to Tuli (eastern extremity of the country). Street plans of central Francistown and Gaborone (indexed for streets), are included. These show such details as hospitals, hotels, information offices, post offices, buildings of interest and embassies.
