Double-sided map combining a general road map of Botswana with plans of central Gaborone and Francistown, plus enlargements for all the country’s main national parks or reserves.

The main map shows Botswana’s network of roads and main tracks, marking locations petrol supplies and borders crossings (annotated with opening hours), the railway line across the eastern part of the country, local airfields, and internal administrative boundaries with names of the provinces. National parks and game reverses are prominently highlighted, indicating entrance gates. The map has margin ticks for latitude and longitude at 1º intervals and an index of localities.

On the reverse, there are enlargements showing the country’s six main protected areas: Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park, Moremi Wildlife Reserve, Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans National Parks, Central Kalahari Game Reverse and Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The maps show tracks across these areas, annotated with driving distances and GPS waypoints, as well as locations of campsites, lodges and other accommodation. Each map is accompanied by a panel with information on opening hours, contact addresses, useful tips, etc.

Also included are insets showing plans of central Gaborone and Francistown, maps of the environs of both towns, and a distance table.
