This map, originally published to accompany Bradshaw's Railway Manual 1907, shows the rail network of the British Isles at around the peak of its growth, at about 23,000 miles in length. Many sea connections are also shown on the map. Larger scale insets show the complexity of the network in the following major urban areas: Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Edinburgh, Leeds and Liverpool. Accompanying the map is a booklet describing the development of the railways up to 1907.
