Large format, A3 paperback atlas, presenting the country by regions and states at varying scales, with the more densely populated states covered on two or more pages. For each state, numerous insets show access to and principal roads in main towns and cities and each map is also accompanied by a distance table. For Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo the atlas provides an indexed street plan of the central part of the city and a more general map showing main roads across the suburbs.

The road network indicates sections of highways where special regulations and speed limits apply. Also marked are locations of fuel supplies, highway police units, and toll barriers. The atlas shows the country’s railway lines and local airfields, administrative boundaries, various places of interest, etc. National parks and protected areas are prominently highlighted. The maps have no geographical coordinates. Map legend and all additional text are in Portuguese only. An index of localities lists over 18,000 place names. The atlas also covers Bolivia and the southern part of South America at 1:4,500,000.
