Brazil: Quatro Rodas Regional Road Maps

Indexed maps covering the regions of Brazil at a various scales from 1:1,700,000 to 1:3,700,000. The maps show six classes of roads, including unsurfaced tracks, indicating difficult or dangerous sections. Toll barriers, major petrol stations and traffic police stations are shown, with intermediate distances marked in km. Railways, local airports and aerodromes (indicating those with regular services), ports, and state boundaries also shown. There is no information on topography beyond the rivers and lakes network, but national parks and other protected areas are highlighted. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at intervals of 1°.

A common feature is the inclusion of linear diagrams of several major routes within the region, showing main connecting roads, towns, services, distances, etc. Each map also includes basic main road plans of major cities. These indicate bus terminals and a few notable sites. A road distance chart is also included. All text, including the map legend, is in Portuguese only.
