Very few peak heights are marked but highland ranges are named. The road network detail distinguishes unsurfaced roads and shows some rough tracks. Intermediate road distances on some major routes are marked in miles. Main railways are also marked, and district boundaries and national parks and reserves are indicated. Symbols indicate airports, ports, sites of interest, historic and archaeological sites, places where petrol stations, churches, campsites, lodgings, post offices, hospitals, clinics, etc can be found. The map is indexed but has no latitude/longitude grid.

The street plans are clear and simple, showing railways, and such features as lodgings, bus stations, embassies, churches and points of interest.
