Detailed waterways guide covering over 100 km of the Canal de l'Ourcq from Paris to Port-aux-Perches and the parallel stretch of the Marne from Paris to past La-Ferté-sous-Jouarre, with the Canals de Chelles and Chalifert. Also included are the canals St-Martin and St-Denis and the Seine across Paris. Enlargements show the Arsenal and the Villette basins.

The maps at 1:75,000, show all the navigational hazards, locks, wharves and mooring buoys, various facilities along the route, including drinking water, electricity, shopping, etc. Every left-hand page displays information about the route, respective of the cartography on the right-hand page.

Cartography is clear and easy to use, showing stop gates, canal bridges, towpaths, weirs, tunnels, and much more. Cruising limits are shown, as is information on currents. Points of interest such as castles are also shown, as are hazards that include dangerous shoals, rocks and even electric powerlines.
