Topography is shown only by names of various mountain and hill ranges, plus spot heights with peak names. The map highlights national park areas, Aboriginal communities, historic sites, etc. Many places of interest are also annotated with brief notes. Latitude/longitude grid is at 1º intervals. On the reverse there are enlargements for the Capricorn Gemfields and the Capricorn Coast areas, plus street plans of Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Mackay and Gladstone. The map also includes a table of facilities in the national parks, distance tables, useful addresses and notes on the region.
