The product contains 1:25,000 (OS Explorer) digital map data and aerial photography of the region, which can be zoomed and scrolled.
It is seamless, continuous map data, loaded in the background, which can be worked with in feet, meters, miles or kilometers. OS Grid or Latitude/Longitude can be used for co-ordinates. Waypoints, paths and personal routes can all be added and printed, with hill profiles to view height changes on paths. Supports Garmin & Magellan GPS for exchange of routes, waypoints etc. Includes complete GB Overview Map and Road Atlas at 1:250,000 scale, with route planning tools and a gazetteer of locations.

Minimum system requirement: Windows 2000/XP, 256Mb RAM memory. Recommended: XP, 1.5GHz processor, 1GB RAM memory. Virtual Landscape requires DirectX 9 compatible video card.

About these maps:
Series of 117 titles covering all of mainland GB. Based on seamless 1:25,000 topographic mapping, and including the facility to mark routes, annotate maps with text and symbols, and also view route profiles. The Virtual GPS facility replicates the functions of a standard GPS unit on a laptop, Pocket PC or Smartphone. Another new feature is the Virtual Landscape 3D mapping which can be "flown" over and viewed from any perspective. Routes can be exchanged with a GPS, and maps and routes can be exported to PC, Pocket PC and Smartphone. With the Data Explorer function, routes and waypoints can be filed and organised in a variety of ways. The software license permits unlimited printing, at A4 size, for personal use.

Each product presents both 1:25k (OS Explorer) digital map data and (with the exception of titles covering regions in Scotland) high-definition aerial photography, both of which can be zoomed and scrolled. Place names on the aerial photography can be shown or hidden.
Also included in each pack is a complete GB overview map at 1:1,000,000k, a road atlas at 1:250,000k, a searchable Gazetteer of locations, and route planning tools.
