Detailed road network stands out clearly from the background which has only subtle relief shading in the mountainous areas. Toll routes and restricted roads are indicated, with steep roads showing gradients and opening months of the mountain passes. Railways indicate car transportation routes. National parks are marked and symbols show a range of places of interest, recreational facilities, etc.

Coverage outside the borders of the two countries, without the camping and caravanning information, extends to Venice, Klagenfurt, southern part of Lake Balaton, most of Bosnia - Herzegovina, and Podgorica. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 15' intervals. Map legend includes English. The map comes with a booklet attached to its cover, containing an index of place names and listing all the campsites and caravan parks by location.
