The base map uses subtle hill shading to portray the general relief without distracting from the road detail. Heights of some significant peaks are indicated, and marsh areas and reefs are also distinguished, although the legend neglects to identify these elements. Communication detail includes some secondary roads, railways, ferry routes and airports, and intermediate driving distances are indicated on motorways and trunk roads. National parks, reserves and restricted areas are marked and symbols highlight selected sites of interest, beach resorts and lighthouses. No latitude and longitude lines are drawn. Multilingual legend includes English.

Inset is an indexed street plan of central Havana at approx 1:16,500, on which landmarks and notable buildings are marked eg. monuments, museums, hospitals and churches. There is also a map of the western Greater Antilles at approx. 1:4,000,000, centred on Cuba and reaching Miami, The Bahamas, Jamaica and Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
