This 299 x 222cm (9ft 10" x 7ft 4" approx.) physical map of the world has been featured in numerous style magazines, such as Homes and Gardens and Elle Decoration. It has a clear, professional look that makes it very popular for home, office or travel agent display.

Altitude colouring of land masses clearly highlights mountainous regions. Fewer cities and names of geographical features are shown than on other maps of this size to provide its characteristic uncluttered look much favoured by interior designers and to make political boundaries stand out better. Country names are in English and cities mostly in local names (Københaven, El Qâhira, Dimashq) with, where necessary, English equivalents.

On oceans shades of colouring show the depths and the map has numerous shipping lanes with distances between the ports in nautical miles. Clocks show time difference from GMT (but without the map indicating the exact geographical area covered by each time zone).

The map is overlaid with a grid showing latitude and longitude at intervals of 1’ to help identify accurate position of various locations. Projection is Mercator.

Please note:
The map comes in six separate sheets and can be assembled with either Atlantic or Pacific Ocean in the centre. Before assembly, it is necessary to trim the borders of the individual sheets.
