A handy size, laminated and waterproof map with plans of major areas of interest and plenty of tourist information. The main map at 1:930,000 shows the Nile Valley from the Mediterranean to Aswan and across Lake Nasser to Abu Simbel. Relief shading and spot heights show the topography. All the ancient sites along the river are highlighted and included in the index of place names. The map does not have any geographical coordinates. On the reverse there are several more maps: the whole of Egypt at 1:4,500,000, an indexed street plan of Cairo at 1:18,000, and plans of the main archaeological sites at Giza, Saqqara, and Luxor with WesternThebes.

A special feature of the Insight Flexi series are panels with "Facts for Visitors" ( travel documents, customs regulations, money, opening times, getting around, health, etc.) and "10 sights you shouldn't miss" (brief descriptions of the most important sights).
