Colourful and informative map for visitors presenting a plan for each town. Both are indexed for streets and a variety of other notable and useful locations e.g. gates to the old city, places of interest, etc. The scale does not permit the naming of many of the very tiny streets and alleys within the historical centres, but on the Fes map there is an enlargement of the souk area of the Fes El Bali district. Within each medina symbols indicate the location of various trades: jewellers, leather workers, blacksmith and copperware sellers, carpet sellers, dried fruit and spices, etc.
In the new part of each town numerous symbols indicate railways and coach stations, tourist information centres, taxi ranks, places of worship, hospitals, market places, youth hostels, sport and leisure facilities, etc. A small inset shows the road and rail connections between the two towns. Map legend is in English and French.
