Indexed, double-sided road map of Finland from the country’s national survey organization, with a panel of road signs providing information on driving regulations. The map divides the country north/south and extends over to northern Norway, eastern Sweden north of Uppsala, and to St. Petersburg, but without the altitude colouring or any tourist information shown within Finland itself. The map shows the country’s road and rail networks, highlighting national parks and restricted entry areas. Symbols indicate campsites, places of interest, winter sport centres, petrol stations, border crossings, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are at 30’ and 1° intervals respectively and UTM margin ticks are also provided. Multilingual map legend, conveniently placed in a book-type map cover, includes English. Where appropriate, both Finnish and Swedish place names are shown, and within Karelia the map gives Russian names in both Cyrillic and Roman alphabets plus the historical Finnish names.

The map also has an index of localities, a distance table, and a panel showing the country’s road signs with English descriptions. Also included is a small administrative map of Finland, showing the country’s provinces (provincial boundaries are also marked on the main map).
