Administrative map of France from the IGN, showing the country’s regions and their subdivisions into departments, arrondissements and cantons in very attractive light colours, with each unit shown with its administrative capital.

The map shows regional boundaries and within them each department is presented in a different colour and annotated with its official number. Internal boundaries of individual arrondissements and cantons are shown, plus the seat of each unit’s administrative headquarters.

Two enlargements enable the map to present Paris and the Petite Couronne (75, 92, 93 and 94), plus the Paris region (those plus 78, 91 and 95) at 1:350,000 and 1:700,000 respectively, to show all the relevant information.

The map also shows France’s overseas departments (DOMs): Guadeloupe (971), Martinique (972), Guyane (973) and Réunion (974) at the same scale as the metropolitan France.

Also included is an inset with a map of the world to show the locations of France’s overseas territories, indicating their official administrative status.
