France: IGN 250K Regional Touring Maps

2008 editions of the annually updated IGN's regional series of France, with symbols denoting speed radar locations on major routes. Each map covers an administrative region, has an index on the reverse, and includes an indexed street plan of the central part of the region's main city. There is little noticeable relief shading, except in the most hilly and mountainous regions. Road detail includes toll roads, restricted motorway junctions, service and rest areas, intermediate driving distances, and unmaintained roads. Railways, airports, airfields, ferries and aerial cable ways are also shown. A range of symbols depict tourist and recreation features e.g. antiquities, spas, winter sport resorts, national parks and nature reserves, and towns of particular interest. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 10' intervals. Map legend includes English.

IGN is renowned for their excellent series of 3-D plastic maps, covering all but the flattest parts of France, from Brittany, Normandy or the Paris region to a truly spectacular map of the Mont Blanc massif. Popular areas such as the Alps, the Pyrenees or Provence are covered at a variety of scales. These superb maps can be a beautiful decoration, an excellent educational aid or an unusual reminder of an interesting holiday.
