France’s protected areas on maps produced by the Institut Géographique National in collaboration with local and park authorities to highlight different types of accommodation, centres of local produce and handicraft, places of interest, various leisure and sport facilities, as well as local footpaths, the GR routes, cycling or equestrian routes, etc.

Institute Géographique National also publishes several other series of detailed road maps and recreational maps of France for hiking and various outdoor activities, all listed on our website.

• Raised relief maps:
  IGN is renowned for their excellent series of 3-D plastic maps, covering all but the flattest parts of France, from Brittany, Normandy or the Paris region to a truly spectacular map of the Mont Blanc massif. Popular areas such as the Alps, the Pyrenees or Provence are covered at a variety of scales. These superb maps can be a beautiful decoration, an excellent educational aid or an unusual reminder of an interesting holiday. Unfortunately, due to frequent damage in transit to our customers, we are unable to offer these maps on our website.
