France: Watersport Facilities Map from the IGN highlights a variety of locations for kayaking and canoeing along France’s rivers and in coastal waters, all graded according to their difficulty. Also indicated are specially built facilities for watersports.

Rivers are classified into three groups, from courses suitable for all users to those for skilled paddlers only. Stretches of particular interest are highlighted. Coastal routes are shown in areas accessible in wind conditions below force 3 and differentiate between those suitable for all or only for skilled kayakers. Also marked are locations with specially built facilities for watersports.

The map has as its base IGN’s general road map of France highlighting the country’s motorway network and connecting routes, but also showing many of the local D-roads, all with their numbers. Current edition of this map was prepared in 2008, so not all road information may be up to date.

Map legend and most of the notes include English.

This title is one of several thematic tourist maps published by the IGN with their general road map of France as a base and aiming to present the country’s cultural and historical heritage, opportunities for outdoor pursuits, etc.
