Rosemary George travels from the foothills of the Pyrenees through the Midi, Provence, across to Corsica, to the Loire Valley and up to the Jura and Moselle. Her objective is produce a guide to 'French country wines', so far an anonymous collection of wines that are linked only by the fact that they do not come from one of the more famous wine growing regions. On her travels she meets many enthusiastic wine producers, samples some exceptional wines and gets to the heart of some of the less written about regions of France.
