One of the titles in a series of Falk’s “City and Municipality” detailed atlases of Germany’s federal states which are printed versions of the company’s car navigation system. Each 17x24cm volume is a comprehensive work of reference of more than 500 pages. The first section covers the whole region at approx. 1:125,000 indicating the areas presented on more detailed street plans. Mapping in this section carries no specific tourist information on landmarks, places of interest, etc., and no topographic information is shown beyond rivers, lakes, and other waterways.

The main section contains, depending on the area covered, from 1000 to over 3000 street plans at approx.1:20,000 or 1:7,000. Symbols highlight car parks, rest areas, park & ride facilities, petrol stations, railway and bus stations, hospitals, museums, and various tourist attractions and sport facilities.

A huge index section contains, in some volumes, over 200,000 street names, plus a separate index of localities. Map legend and all the explanatory text are in German only.

These atlases are designed for reference or commercial use where detailed presentation of local towns and villages is required and are not ideally suited for use as touring road atlases for holidays in Germany.
