Several maps at various scales are presented in this publication. The main, indexed mapping is at 1:15,000 covering the city in two sections - north and south. This coverage extends from the harbour to the Messukeskus (exhibition centre) in the north. The clear street detail includes one-way traffic restrictions and many building numbers. Other details include tram lines, metro & railway stations, bus terminals, taxi ranks, car parks, petrol stations & tourist information sites.
An enlargement at 1:5,000 shows the city centre in more detail. Places of interest are listed and cross referenced to map locations.
There are diagrams of the metro, commuter rail and tram systems and a small plan of the airport. Finally there is a road map at 1:100,000 showing Helsinki and surroundings to a distance of about 10 km.

PLEASE NOTE:
Since 2001 Finland’s survey organization has been publishing maps under an imprint name of Geniemap. They have now reverted back to their old name of Karttakeskus, but some titles are still available only as Geniemap.
