The book is divided into Provinces with listings in each of the hostels. Each hostel is given a brief description with accompanying useful information, including how to get there by both public and private transport, rates, numbers of beds, laundry facilities, and food services etc. Along with the candid descriptions each accommodation is given grades on various aspects such as "hospitality" and "Party index" to give the complete picture. Some of the hostels are illustrated with b/w photographs. The back of the book has several listings, such as "Eight strange but true hostels" and "Six Hippie hostels" etc. This book is aimed at not just at the wild-free-and-single but caters for the business and family users too.
