Iceland: 250K Topographic Survey Road Maps

Detailed road maps with tourist information, based on the topographic survey of the country. Contours at 20m intervals enhanced by relief shading and additional data showing various types of terrain and vegetation, e.g. forest, cultivated land, swamps and marches, sand and pumice, lava, glaciers, etc., provide an excellent picture of the topography. Road detail includes gravel/earth roads, fords over rivers, petrol stations, and intermediate driving distances. Boundaries of national parks and protected zones are marked and symbols highlight various types of accommodations, sport and leisure facilities, places of interest, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 15' and 20' intervals respectively. Map legend includes English.

Since the administrative changes at the Icelandic survey organization, Landmælingar Islands, the maps are being gradually re-printed showing the brand name Ferðakort.
