With cartography derived from Edda's 1:100,000 atlas, and slightly different in appearance from the Mal og Menning road maps series. Contours are at 100m intervals and are complemented with bold relief shading and additional colours to present the terrain variations eg. lava, vegatation, glacier, sand. Road detail includes gravel roads and tracks. Other details include campsites, huts, emergency shelters, churches, ferries, fords, airfields, power stations, spot heights, lighthouses. Latitude and longitude margin ticks are at 10' and 20' intervals respectively. Map legend includes English.

The atlas is indexed and includes street plans of the Reykyavik area and over 30 other towns. There is also a distance table, a list of museums and thematic maps showing locations of swimming pools, camp sites, petrol stations, radio frequencies, weather stations & golf courses.
