Double sided, indexed road map on durable, waterproof paper, dividing the country into north and south sections. Coverage includes Nepal, Bhutan, southern Tibet and most of Bangladesh. Insets show the eastern extremity of Arunchal Pradesh, Sri Lanka and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The map combines clear road and tourist detail with relief indicated by contours, altitude tinting, and spot heights. Road detail includes provincial and secondary roads and selected tracks. Intermediate driving distances are shown on principal roads and mountain passes are marked. Railways and sea ferries are shown and symbols depict airports, airfields and ports. Swamps, glaciers and coral reefs are indicated and bathymetric tinting is applied to the ocean area. Regional boundaries and names, national parks and reserves are marked, and a further range of symbols shows beaches, Hindu and Buddhist temples, archaeological sites, caves, beaches and places of interest. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 2° intervals, and the map legend is in English only.

Nb. Some elements of the cartography e.g. minor roads and contours, are printed relatively faintly compared with other details e.g. major roads. Although clearly legible on the map, the lower contrast of these details may make them appear less obvious on the reproduction of the cartography presented here.
