Detailed road network and railways are shown on a clear base with subtle altitude colouring which shows the country’s topography, including the areas below the sea level. Numerous places of interest (holy places of various denominations, UNESCO world heritage sites, archaeological sites, etc.), national parks and reserves, and beaches are highlighted in contrasting colours for easy identification. The map also highlights selected hotels, campsites, youth hostels, locations of petrol stations, etc.

The map shows current international boundaries, together with Israel’s original borders, areas of full Palestinian control, and the course of the separation wall at the time of its publication in early 2008. All place names are in Roman alphabet with English names for places of interest. Longitude and latitude lines are drawn at 10' intervals. Map legend includes English. Extensive index has a separate list of national parks/reserves and JNF sites.

Some elements of the cartography e.g. minor roads and contours are printed relatively faintly compared with other information such as major roads. Although clearly legible on the map, the lower contrast of these details has made them less obvious on the reproduction of the cartography presented here
