Large, double sided, indexed road map, published in association with the caravanning specialist Promobil, highlighting campsites and motor-caravan (RV) sites, all listed in a 30-page booklet. Places with more than one site indicate the number of facilities available there. Detailed road network stands out clearly from the background which has only subtle relief shading in the mountainous areas. Toll routes and restricted roads are indicated, with steep roads showing gradients and opening months of the mountain passes. Railways indicate car transportation routes. National parks are marked and symbols show a range of places of interest, recreational facilities, etc.

Environs of main cities (Bologna, Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Turin, and Venice, plus the straights of Messina between the mainland and Sicily) are shown at more detailed scales. Coverage includes Corsica and, without the camping and caravanning information outside the country’s borders, extends to Lausanne and Innsbruck. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 30’ intervals. Map legend includes English.

The map comes with two booklets attached to its cover: a place names index, separate for each side of the map, plus an 30-page booklet listing all the campsites and caravan parks by location, with, where possible, their website addresses.
