Railways detail identifies the Shinkansen route, and major ferry routes are marked. National parks and administrative boundaries are marked, and symbols denote ports, airports, caves, waterfalls, volcanos, temples, shrines, beaches, ski resorts and other tourist sites. Neighbouring islands belonging to Japan are shown in several inset maps. Latitude & longitude lines are at 1° intervals. Legend is in English and Japanese.

Four street plans show the city centre districts of Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo and Sapporo. These are not indexed but clearly mark major street names, notable buildings, landmarks and tourist facilities, including major railway stations and bus terminals.
