Detailed topographic map of the this region, the coverage extending south of latitude 58°N. The Komandor Islands are included in an inset. Further inset maps at larger scales show selected regions: Petropavlovsk Kamchatskii area (1:200,000), Kronotsky Lake region (1:340,000), Kliuchevskaya Sopka (1:200,000) and Mutnovskaya Sopka (1:500,000).
Relief is shown with contours (also for bathymetry) and spot heights, and topographic detail is plentiful, including communications, minor water features, terrain type variations isolated buildings and other landmarks. However the low-contrast of the print reproduction makes some of the fine detail a little difficult to discern. Latitude & longitude lines are at 1° intervals.
The map legend is in English with a list of abbreviations for geographical features. Place names on the maps are transliterated from Cyrillic.

The map is complemented by some practical notes for visitors and information on the region's history, climate, geology, nature, places of interest and major geographical features eg. the Geyser Valley and the Klyucheskaya volcano region.
