About this map:
An excellent map with 40m contours and relief-shading. Woodland areas are marked and roads are shown as either motorable, jeepable or under construction. Footpaths are indicated, with bridges. Selected monuments (e.g. temples) also shown. Latitude and longitude are shown by margin ticks at 1' intervals.
About the series:
A series of detailed maps of the main hiking and climbing areas of Nepal prepared by E. Schneider and edited by Arbeitsgemeinschaft für vergleichende Hochgebirgsforschung in Germany. Most maps have contours at 40-m intervals and, with bold relief shading and colouring for the glaciers, provide a vivid representation of the terrain. This series shows fewer place names than either the Nepali 50K Topographic Survey or the Himapalyan MapHouse trekking maps. Margin ticks indicate UTM coordinates plus latitide and longitude. Map legend is in English.
The Schneider series is recommended in most of the trekking and climbing guides of Nepal.
